Administrative Assistant
Mitzi Humphrey
Mitzi Humphrey was born and raised in Hamilton Indiana. She is married to Randy Humphrey and they have two children. She enjoys spending time with all her grandchildren. She also works as a school bus driver for MSD of Steuben County. When she is not working or spending time with her family you can usually find her at the sewing machine making quilts or other handmade gifts. She is excited about serving at Hamilton UMC as your Administrative Assistant. Mitzi's hours will be Monday & Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Stop in and say hello.

Beth Miller
Beth Miller first started playing the piano when she was 6 years old. She learned to play the trombone and taught herself the organ during her middle school years. At the age of 15 she began playing for congregation singing, choirs, weddings, funerals and so on. Hamilton United Methodist Church gave her the opportunity to help, plan, and witness to others through music. She and her husband (Max) live in Hamilton.

For a church to function effectively and efficiently it requires the members of the congregation to give of their time, talents and spiritual gifts. Hamilton UMC is blessed to have excellent leadership that works together for the good of the church and the glory of God. The following is a brief explanation of the responsibilities of each committee and their respective leaders. If you have an interest in joining or contributing to any particular group please contact the head of that committee.
Finance Chair and Lay Leader: Dennis Germann
The Lay Leader is the primary spokesperson for the congregation. This person meets regularly with the pastor to discuss the state of the church and the changing needs of ministry. The Lay Leader has an active role in Church Council, Staff-Parrish, Finance and the Nominations Committee as well as representing laity at Annual Conference.

Missions |
The Education Committee assures children are considered and included within the life of the congregation. This is accomplished through Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, nursery ministries, children's music ministries along with other educational experiences that allow our youth to learn about and experience God.

While HUMC is involved in a wide variety of missional outreach, it is the Missions Committee responsibility to develop new ideas to connect the congregation with the unchurched. This is accomplished by having various adult and youth activities throughout the year that invite the local community into the church as well as the congregation representing the church in area events.

NominatingThis committee serves the church by focusing on the leadership needs and requirements to accomplish the mission and ministry of Hamilton UMC. The Nominating Committee assists the Pastor and Church Council by recruiting lay volunteers to take leadership positions that make the best use of each individual's Spiritual gifts and talents.

Pastor-ParrishThis committee assists pastors and staff carry out their roles and responsibilities in leadership. Pastor-Parrish duties include encouraging and supporting the pastor and staff, promote unity within the congregation, ensure effectiveness of staff members and confer with the pastor and/or staff should it become evident that in the best interest of the church there should be a change in leadership.
