Wannabees News!
THANK YOU, HUMC!!!
Because of your generous support, we have raised the funds needed to bring Mario and Fantasia to the Cleveland Clinic. Now we need prayers to get through the legal red tape. Your financial gifts are so appreciated and are a huge help in changing the lives of these two children. You are indeed a very special congregation.
God has blessed us with a wonderful Wannabee, Becky O’Donnell who lives close to the Cleveland Clinic. She is a Neuropsychologist with a strong faith and desire to serve our Lord. She has been instrumental in communicating with doctors to find the right ones to care for the kids. Mario who is 13, has a bowel problem (Imperforate Anus) and is still in diapers; therefore, not only is it very embarrassing for him but he is not allowed to go to school. Fantasia, who is 12 and Mario’s sister, has a severe hearing issue which makes it difficult for her to speak. She also is not in school. Her treatment may be more complex than Mario’s.
Our daughter Tammi, with daughters Abby and Lexi, went to Jamaica in December. They were able to visit the kids long enough to give them Christmas presents and tablets for their virtual schooling. They also purchased groceries for the nursing home and gave them 50 disposable gowns (PPR gear) that were much needed for their staff. One hundred masks were also distributed.
Barry and I plan to make a trip to Jamaica in January and with all of our prayers and God’s miracles, we hope to bring Mario and Fantasia back with us. We need your prayers very much to make this happen!
The people of Jamaica were in need before Covid; now it is so much worse because they depend on tourists for jobs and there has not been tourism as you know. They do not receive stimulus checks. The Wannabees are also helping by giving to their food pantry which I believe just got started.
Our LOCAL MISSIONS:
Our WISH (Wannabees Inspiration & Spiritual Hour) meetings will begin the last Sunday of January and be held through ZOOM the last Sunday of each month at 7:00 P.M. We would love to have you join us; if you are interested, please let me know with your email address or register at Wannabees.org.
THANK YOU, HUMC, FOR YOUR PRAYERS & FINANCIAL SUPPORT!!
WE LOVE YOU ALL
